That said, I think it’s outrageous to expect “the rich” to pay higher taxes than they are already responsible for I don't earn a lot of money, particularly when you consider that I live in a very expensive area, Washington, DC/Northern Virginia. The government needs to spend less--a LOT less. They need to be more efficient. They need to have a balanced budget and if need be, an amendment to the constitution to force these children to live the same way my family does--making sure the spending doesn't exceed the earnings. The notion that they should penalize the achievers in our society by forcing even more of their income to be seized is...well, it's UNAMERICAN. The bottom half don't even pay income taxes--where is the “fairness” in that? The top…
